default-featured-imageThe monetary jurisdiction of the Small Claims Court is prescribed by regulation under the Courts of Justice Act. As of April 1, 2001, the jurisdiction of the court increased from $6,000 to its current level of $10,000. The Ontario government has announced that the monetary limit of the Small Claims Court will be increased from $10,000 to $25,000 in January 2010.
